IT'S NOT EASY BEING GREEN.

When the term ORGANIC or NATURAL is used in reference to a personal care product it "should" mean that all or most of the ingredients are safe for you. This is not always the case. The ordinary woman applies, on average, 8 personal care products containing over 126 chemicals onto her body everyday! These chemicals bio-accumulate over time and are linked to endocrine disruption, body toxicity, and even cancer. We need to care more about what's LEFT OUT of the product, than what's PUT INTO the product. Organic and natural are great, but TOXIN FREE is better. The beauty industry is unregulated, product labels are deceitful, and ingredients are polluting us and our environment. But things are starting to change- and that's a good thing.

We are becoming savvy consumers- learning about harmful chemicals, reading labels on our personal care products and choosing those made with little or no toxins. We're realizing that the "buzz words"- Paraben, Sulphate and Propylene Glycol Free can be misleading as they are typically replaced with another toxic ingredient and while it's good to eliminate those ingredients, it's better to eliminate them all.

Smaller companies are creating healthier alternatives and service professionals are educating themselves along with their clients on how to choose beneficial, less harmful products. The movement is gaining momentum and it can be quite overwhelming to try to keep up on it all. We lead busy lives and want to spend our time enjoying life, not studying and searching out chemicals.

WE'RE HERE TO HELP.

At Hairs to You we are continuously researching, experimenting and improving our lines, so you don't have to. We'll do our best to provide you with products of the highest quality and integrity, natural and organic ingredients and we strive the hardest for the absence of chemicals*.
